Our Shea Nilotica, or East African Shea Butter, comes from the fruit of the Karite tree, Vitellaria nilotica. Shea Nilotica has anti-inflammatory properties and is rich with vitamins and minerals and is a great cell regenerator that can be applied all over the body.

Due to its high concentration of Olien, a liquid oil, Shea Nilotica is much softer and creamer than West African Shea butter an easier to incorporate into the skin. It has 25% higher fatty acid content than West African Shea butter. Unlike West African Shea butter, Shea Nilotica does not need to be softened, melted, or whipped to apply to skin and has a lighter aroma.
